Band Auditions

Band Auditions will be held on April 15th at the Wendel home. See below for directions in case you don't know. The time slots will be for 20 minutes each, separated by 10 minute breaks, so they end up every 30 minutes. Please post your time preference back and we'll fill the slots.

For auditions, I request that you prepare one song that you know (preferably something that we know also, so we can play along). Then we will do a song that we do, that you have not practiced, to see how adaptable you are. Then we'll try a few other things - whatever strikes our fancy at the time - don't worry - it won't be painful.....

Please make sure you sign up, so we can enlarge our team base.

Directions to the Wendel home:
From Goodman Road, go north on Pleasant Hill Road. Go EXACTLY one mile and turn left onto Pleasant Ridge Drive (into Pleasant Ridge Estates - at the end of the long, solid white fence). Take an immediate left onto Falcon Drive. When Falcon Drive ends and you can only turn right, do that. That is Isabel Drive. Our house is the 2nd on the left - 4949 Isabel Drive.

Oh yes it's ladies night...and the feelin's right....

Well, it’s about time. We’re having another LADIES NIGHT OUT!!! If you were unable to attend the last one, you missed out, but don’t let it happen again. This time we’re not only going out to eat, we’re also going to hear a really cool Australian lady speak. Here’s the lowdown:



Date: Saturday, February 10th, 2007

Time: 5:00 pm (meeting at the restaurant – if you want to ride together, we’ll have to work that into the equation)

Where: We’re going to eat at Chili’s (1260 N Germantown Pkwy, Cordova, TN 38016) at which we will be celebrating Natalie Brechin’s beautiful birth (i.e., we’re having a baby shower). Becki is only in need of burp cloths (she’s a spitter), summer clothing (6-12 months) and diapers – LOTS OF DIAPERS.


Then at 6:30 pm, we’re going to The Life Church of Memphis to their CHICK NITE

They will be serving dessert and drinks and Christine Caine (one of the pastors from Hillsong Church in Australia) will be speaking. She’s an awesome, engaging speaker. We (Sonja and I) heard her at the last ARC conference and she really spoke some truth into my life as a pastor – and had us in stitches the whole time.


So, make a plan to be there. We are also going to announce the “Chick Nite” to all the ladies of SouthPoint on Sunday at church. Encourage everyone you have contact with to come. We will have them meet us at the church and we’ll all go in together. (So they don’t have to attend a baby shower for someone they don’t know….you know what I mean)?



OK, enough rambling. Put it on your calendar, get a sitter, do your hair and join us for a fun time of food and laughter (I promise there will be laughter).

This Sunday Was.....

FREAK'N COOL! What an awesome Sunday. Everybody chipping in. Everybody doing their part. We overcame different things hurdles in the main theatre; power issues, light issues, heat issues, cord issues, but we prevailed......okay God prevailed! It was an awesome Sunday, WAY TO GO TEAM!
